Baby Room

A very warm welcome awaits you in our Baby Room, where we have caring and qualified staff committed to the well-being of all our babies. This is our first stepping stone on the journey throughout nursery for your child. Parent partnership is of upmost importance to us within this room, as this helps us to understand the individual needs of your baby. The emotional, physical and developmental needs of our babies are our main priority and we are here to support the babies as they encounter new milestones such as crawling, walking or feeding themselves. Our babies thrive with lots of interaction and encouragement in a happy, relaxed and warm environment.

Leading Early Years Practitioner

Hello, my name is Sharon and I am the Lead Early Years Practitioner in the Baby Room. I have worked at Stepping Stones for 11 years; within this time, I have worked with a variety of different age ranges throughout the building. I have my NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, First Aid and have recently attained my Level 2 Effective Safeguarding Practise. I have worked with Children for the majority of my working life, these jobs have included a church youth leader, a Brownie and Guide Leader and a private Nanny. I have also completed Learning through Movement, Baby room Project 2014 and Song for Early Years, this was a particular favourite for me as I love to play my guitar to the babies throughout the day. They get a great deal of enjoyment out of this.
