Green Class

Welcome to Green Class, this is the second stepping stone on the children’s pathway through the Nursery. This room is for children aged between 2-3. The sessions within this room are focussed very much on learning through play. All the children are encouraged to explore with the support of the early year’s practitioners within the room, encouraged to start making their own choices and becoming more independent. Learning to express our feelings through songs and dance to promote communication and language skills appropriate for that age group.

Leading Early Years Practitioner

Hello, my name is Jo. I am the Leading Early Years practitioner in Green Class. I have worked at Stepping Stones for 4 years and have a Level 3 in Childcare, alongside this I have completed my first aid training and Epilepsy training. I have 2 children at high school and my husband is still serving in the RAF. I feel this gives me a greater advantage to our little people at Stepping Stones when they have a loved one deployed as I understand the impact this has on families. When I am not at work, I love to spend time with my family.

In my spare time I’m kept busy with my 3 sons, a stepson, 2 step daughters and 2 grandsons. I love spending time with my family and we have had the pleasure of living all over the country and enjoy exploring new surroundings.
