Red Class

Welcome to Red Class, this room is dedicated to providing the children with the tools needed to ensure the children’s readiness to school. It is the last Stepping Stone before school. The staff within this room have held pre-school positions for years and are fully equipped with the knowledge needed to ensure that your children enter the world of education fully prepared but above all else happy.

Lead Early Years Practitioner

Hey there! I’m Jude. I am one of the Leading Early Years Practitioner in the Pre-school room.  For 23 years I looked after the Elderly as a dementia and palliative care worker. I felt that I needed a change in career, so I trained as an Early Years Practitioner, Level 3 and I love it! Especially the craft and messy play. I have worked at Stepping Stones for nearly 10 years and I’m still learning all the time. When you can’t find me in Red Class I will usually be having lots of fun within Jesters with the before and after school children. In my spare time I like to go walking on the pheasant and grouse moors!

Lead Early Years Practitioner

Hello, my name is Claire. I am one of the Leading Early Years Practitioners within the preschool room. I have worked at Stepping Stones for 8 years and have a Level 4 in Childcare. I have undertaken a variety of different courses over my time here at Stepping Stones some of which have included Autism Awareness, First Aid and Epilepsy Training. I thoroughly enjoy working with the pre-school children seeing them growing in confidence and progressing on to their next adventures at ‘Big School’ Being a military wife and having two fabulous children of my own gives me, I feel, a greater insight into the variety of emotional support our military children need when they are faced with deployments of loved ones. You can find me in Jesters before and after school club when I am not in Pre-school. When I am not at work, I love to spend time with my children, husband and doggy Patch. Although, he can be a handful at times!
