Yellow Class

Welcome to Yellow Class, our third stepping stone within the nursery. Yellow Class accommodates children aged between 2.5 – 3 years. As with all the rooms the children have a specific early year’s practitioner that tracks their individual learning journey. They support and plan for the children a variety of different activities that will further their development. Yellow Class, is again, a room that is focussed very much on learning through play, encouraging sharing and turn taking alongside promoting a little more independence within the children and further developing the language skills appropriate for that age range.

Leading Early Years Practitioner

Hello, I am Sarah, I am the Leading Early Years Practitioner within Yellow Class. I have worked at Stepping Stones for 9 years and I have a Level 3 in Childcare. Alongside this I have done several different courses, First Aid, Autism Awareness and Epilepsy Training. I love messy play, the messier the better! Seeing the children using their imaginations and having fun makes me very happy. When I am not at work, you will find me spending time with my beautiful little family. We love to go on lots of adventures, jumping in muddy puddles is one of our favourite things to do, baking and having lots of fun as a family.

Early Years Practitioner

Hello, I’m Vicky, I work as an Early Years Practitioner in Yellow Class. I have worked at Stepping Stones for over 2 years and have my Level 3 in Childcare and my First Aid. I have worked in a variety of other Nursery settings before here. I used to serve in the RAF and my husband is still serving. We have 3 children so I understand the impact deployments and postings have on our military children. I have a dog called Alfie who we love walking. My favourite book is the Gruffalo and I absolutely love messy play!

Vicki P

Early Years Practitioner

My name is Vicki, and I have worked within Yellow Class for many years, I have been working at Stepping Stones for 18 Years during this time I gained my Level 3 Diploma in Early Years, Children and Education, whilst my children were younger.  My husband has retired from the Air Force and having lived the life I understand the pros and cons of military life and the effects it has on children. Caring for and helping to educate our children is important to me. I love to read with the children igniting their passion for literature and firing their imaginations. I live with my husband and black lab in Bedale. Walking, reading and gardening are my ways to relax when I am not at work.
